Lee’s Crossing
Monthly
Newsletter September 2007
From the President…
Fall is upon us as school is back in session and football season starts in earnest the first of September. It will not be long until we will see a return to cool evenings. Make sure to get out and enjoy the outdoors during this time of year.
Unfortunately, this week I received notice from the
Postmaster that no longer allows the LCHA to distribute our newsletter in your
mailbox without proper postage. Because
of the expense associated with mailing a monthly newsletter to 400 + homes, the
newsletter will be made available via email, on our website
(leescrossingmariettaga.com) or a box at the entrance. Key editions of the newsletter requiring
distribution to all residents will be mailed.
Your best alternative will be to receive the newsletter via email. Currently, we have approximately 125
residents receiving their newsletter via email.
Send your email address to leescrossing@comcast.net to
start receiving your newsletter.
Recently, I had
communication with the developer of the Manning properties about the status of
the development. They have slowed their
progress slightly to match demand with the market. We should see construction begin across the
street before year end. The variance
notifications posted are to obtain city council approval for gated entrances.
Enjoy your fall!
As always, if you have questions or comments, please give me a call.
Best Regards,
Around
the Neighborhood
On August 6 there was a car break-in at a home on Briarmeade. The car window was smashed and a laptop case, wallet, checkbook, cash, and other items were taken. The car was locked and parked five feet or so from the front door.
While this is a rare occurrence in our neighborhood, each of us needs to watch out for people who either do not belong in the neighborhood or are in a place they shouldn’t be. Please be careful to lock your car (and home) doors and do not leave anything of value in plain sight.
Thank You
