Lee’s Crossing

Monthly Newsletter                                                            November   2009

From the President:

Hello Neighbors!  I hope that everyone is doing well and enjoying this beautiful fall that we are having.

This newsletter includes our proposed 2010 Budget for the Association as well as projected budgets through 2013.

In the proposed budget for 2010, the Association’s annual dues remain at $345. This will be our second consecutive year without an increase. The Directors are very cognizant that these are difficult economic times and want to help out our neighbors anyway that we can.

Each year, in preparation of the next year’s budget, we project, for at least five years, the need to meet operating expenses, maintain adequate reserves and fund major repairs. These long-term projections have indicated a need to reach an annual assessment of $365 by the year 2011. Because of the economy, however, we have forgone increases in 2009 and 2010. The Association will likely need an increase of $20 in 2011, but should be able to avoid further increases in the foreseeable future thereafter.

We encourage each resident to review the information on the budgets and join us for our November board meeting to discuss any comments or concerns that you may have.

As always, if you should ever have any comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me.  My home phone number is (770) 420-3484.  Take care, and I will see you around the neighborhood!

Jim Martin

My name is Molly Baker and I live in Lee’s Crossing and attend the Marietta Sixth Grade Academy.  I am working on a community service project this year.  Many people are fighting breast cancer and many have died from breast cancer. You can help! Yoplait is donating ten cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure (breast cancer research) for each pink Yoplait yogurt lid submitted. I am collecting all of these pink lids from you and will submit them to Yoplait for my project. Please collect pink lids, rinse them off, and drop them in my mailbox at 703 Chartworth Circle. Sending in these lids can make a big difference.  Please have all lids to me by 12/26/09.

*Remember, these lids must be pink!!!

Thank you!

I Recommend……

Michael and Andrea Bryant would like to recommend pet sitter Lily Kate Jordan (770-427-1935). Lily Kate was extremely professional and exceeded expectations plus, our pets acted like they had plenty of belly rubs.

The Jordans want to heartily recommend Blu Taverna on the Square for any dining out occassion!  Ladies night out, family dinner or date night, the Blu Taverna offers delicious Greek cuisine ranging from buttery Spanikopita to tender pork kabobs to melt-in-your-mouth praline cheesecake.  Try Blu Taverna on Mill Street (across from the coffee joint) for something fun and different.
