Newsletter May 2011
Dear Neighbors,
I hope you are doing well. As we rapidly approaching the end of the school year, the swimming pool is getting prepared for the Memorial Day weekend opening. The swim team startup has already occurred with lots of neighborhood kids signed up. The reconstruction of the first set of tennis courts has been completed and work has begun on the second. Necessary landscape maintenance around the clubhouse and front lot has also been completed. The Board gives Dianne Ryan a big thank you for working with our landscaper and finding a tree trimming service.
On a sad note, a past Board member and President Walt Dean passed away in early April. I thank him and his family for his past service to our community. Please say a prayer for Walt and his family.
I want to pass on a few reminders to help keep our neighborhood clean. If you use the clubhouse and facilities, please place all trash in the trash bins and the put the bins in the collection area. There seems to be a constant issue of trash being left outside the bins at the clubhouse. Tricia Wilson, who manages the clubhouse rentals, should not have to be cleaning up after others. The other reminder I have is about dogs and cats running free in the neighborhood doing their business in other people’s yards. Please be considerate of your neighbors.
The next time I write you school will be out and kids will be out a lot more than they are now. Please be aware and cautious while driving through the neighborhood.
I wish all the moms in Lee’s Crossing a Happy Mother’s Day!

Neighborhood Landscaping
Many of you may have noticed landscaping and
tree work going on at our entrance and clubhouse. Most noticeable perhaps are
the cutting of trees and pruning of trees and shrubs. We ask that you bear with
us as we spread the wood chips and complete clean up.
Volunteers have been working on behalf of the board with our landscaper,
Georgia Landscaping Co., to improve the appearance of our entrance and
clubhouse and to preserve the integrity of our trees and plantings and enhance
our investment.
We think in a short period of time that the entrance will have reached a new
level of attractiveness and curb appeal and be more in keeping with the new
entrances on Manning Rd.
Those of you who use Georgia Landscaping might want to tell them that you have
taken note of recent work done for all of us as homeowners.
It’s Time to Recognize & Spotlight the Class of 2011!
The LCHA will proudly display a banner at the entrance this year showcasing our class of 2011! We would like to include all who are receiving their high school, undergraduate, and graduate diplomas (space permitting).
Please send the name (as you want it displayed) of your graduate(s) & their school to David Geiger geig4@comcast.net by no later than Monday May 9 in order for their name to be included on the banner. If you have any questions, please call David at 770-428-6406.
Congratulations to the class of 2011!
