The annual neighborhood yard sale will be on Saturday, May 15th, from 8am to 1pm. Ads will be placed in the Marietta and Atlanta papers. Signs on Whitlock Avenue will also be put out directing people to Lee's Crossing. Each home having a sale may put out their own signs, but please take them down after the sale. In past years, residents of Lee's Crossing have had a preview of the sales the night before. Good luck to everyone who participates!

Lee’s Crossing Cyclones

This year’s swim team is looking strong.  Almost 100 swimmers have registered – and we are hoping for a few more.  While the majority of the team is made up of returning swimmers, we have quite a number of new participants.  A couple of age groups are full! But we would like to add swimmers in some groups – specifically 5 & 6 year olds (both boys and girls), 9 & 10 (boys only), 13 & 14 (boys), and 15  – 18 (girls).  If you or any friends or relatives have any swimmers who might like to join us please have them get in touch with me.

Our team will be participating in five meets – three meets will be held here in Lee’s Crossing.  In order to accommodate our home meets the pool will be closing at 4 pm on the following Mondays:  June 7th, June 21st, and June 28th.  Feel free to stop by and check out the action!  In addition, we will be holding our End-of-Season Party on Tuesday June 29th – the pool will only be open to Swim Team participants and their families beginning at 5pm.

If you would like any further information please contact Susan Herr @ sdherr@comcast.net

Hello Lees Crossing Residents,

I am on the charity committee for my Keller Williams Realty office on Dallas Highway.  This year our charity is supporting our troops and their families.  We have a Marine unit of about 130 and a MP unit of 30 we are sponsoring.  I am hoping you can help.  Our goal is send a care package of items every month to the units we are supporting.  We have vendors who are helping us with the cost of shipping the items; we just need misc. items to go out every month.  February we collected gum, March was slim Jim/beef jerky and toiletry items and this month we are collecting flip flops (size 7 and above) and Frisbees.  We send out every month so if you have any items that you would be willing to donate, we would be happy to collect.  If you have gum or toiletry items, beef jerky and etc. it’s not too late to donate those items also.  Please consider starting to collect and bring them by my house anytime.  My address is 1336 Idlewyld Dr.  My home number is (770) 590-9366 and cell is (770) 842-2871.  My email address is rick_diana@bellsouth.net.  Also, if there are any Brownie, Girl Scout, Cub Scout or Boy Scout units in our subdivision and you would like a task for them, we are also collecting home made Thank You cards.  We like to ship the Thank You cards along with the care packages.  Call me for details.  Thank you so much for your support.

DONATIONS FOR CLUBHOUSE “BEAUTIFICATION”

The Leesure Ladies’ Group has taken on the project of improving the interior of our clubhouse to be more inviting and feel more like a “home” environment.  Spring is here and everyone will be cleaning out their homes and attics.  Please look over your extra things before donating to a charity and consider donating them instead to our project.  We will be glad to take a look at your donations and find them a home in our clubhouse for everyone to enjoy.  We are especially in need of silk flower arrangements for our two mantels, silk trees for the bay window in front and appropriately framed pictures.  You can contact Dianne Ryan (770-499-7863) to donate and we will glad to come take a look.

Be sure to book the clubhouse early for any events you are planning!  Call Adrienne Lemoine at 770-428-5184.
