Lee’s Crossing
Monthly
Newsletter May 2008
From the President:
The weather is warm, daylight hours are growing longer and school will be out in less than four weeks. You should expect to see more and more children playing outdoors and for longer hours into the evening. Please drive carefully.
I had a resident ask me about car washing at his residence last week. This is still prohibited - commercial car washes are exempt.
Outdoor watering of existing landscaping is allowed between midnight and 10 am three days per week - odd addresses on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday and even addresses on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. This watering is limited to 25 minutes per day and is limited to a single hand held hose with an automatic shutoff. New landscaping can be watered more frequently but only if the homeowner has completed the registration program at www.outdoorwateruse.com.
This does seem to be the time of year when our lawns, weeds and whatever grow tall overnight. Unfortunately, a few of us are still hibernating and our lawns can quickly become eyesores. Please pay attention to your lawn and provide the appropriate maintenance on a timely basis.
Congratulations to our women’s ALTA Thursday tennis team. They not only won their division, they had the highest point total at their level. Good luck in the playoffs.
The pool will open at 10 am on Saturday, May 24. The opening party with barbeque and other sundries will begin at 1:00. Hope to see you there.
Sincerely,
Walt Walker

If you are
planning on buying a Used or New car, Kevin Brown (retired DuPont Auto Paint
Exec.), is our “go to” guy in the neighborhood! I started looking for used Corvettes;
Kevin brought several cars to my attention, directly from the national car auctions
which he attends. Auction prices are what dealers buy at. Additionally, he
works with several local and out of state new car dealers, (who were his former
customers). He saved me $1000’s over the best deal I could put together, with
several area dealers, on a brand new Corvette, which I bought from a
small town Chevy dealer in Alabama that Kevin knew! I would have never found
this car and price without Kevin! It
truly is “who you know”, to get the best inside deals! Call Kevin at 404-386-7317.
