I hope you are all doing well so far this year. It looks like we are getting off easy this winter with only few weeks to go before we get to spring.
We have much needed painting going on at the clubhouse along with some minor construction. The addition of French doors entering into the kitchen from the entry way will allow for access to the restrooms for the tennis players while restricting open access to the kitchen. Combination locks are also being installed to simplify access for renters by not having to hand out keys. I want to thank Diane Ryan for getting painting estimates and overseeing the work Ocampo Painting is doing for us.
We still have plans to remove the current trash enclosure at the clubhouse. It will be replaced with a better designed enclosure placed at the south end of the parking lot and will be screened from the residents with appropriate shrubs. The plan is to get this work dome before the pool season starts. This work has taken longer than we had hoped, so my apologies to the neighbors for that.
I had hoped hear back from the City by now regarding when several streets in the neighborhood are going to be resurfaced. Hopefully, I will have that information by the next newsletter.
Board election results will be finalized and positions will be set for the year at the March meeting.
Don’t hesitate to contact me or send a note to Leescrossing@comcast.net with any questions you may have.
Be healthy and safe and I will see you around the neighborhood.

Lee’s Crossing Cyclones
Winter? When was that? I am sure everyone is ready to swim! Registration for the 2012 Swim Team will be held at the clubhouse on Monday April 9th from 4:30 to 7 pm. New participants, from 5 to 18 years of age (as of June 1st), are always welcome. The cost is just $25 per swimmer for those living in the neighborhood and $75 per swimmer for those outside of Lee’s Crossing.
The team suit will be new this year – swimmers are welcome to wear a previous design - if you are in need, suits will be available for purchased at registration.
After school practices will begin Monday May 14th. Morning practices will begin Tuesday May 29th. Based on the county’s rotating schedule our meets will be held on Wednesday evenings this year.
Parent support is required! It is mandatory for parents to work at least one full meet or two half meets. Many work much more and their efforts are greatly appreciated!!
Registration packets – including more information about practice and meet schedules will be emailed out to last year’s team. This information will also be available at registration.
If you would like to join us please contact me for a packet or further information.
If you have any questions or need to book the clubhouse, please call or e-mail Tricia Wilson at 770-428-8144 or email@example.com. In an effort to keep our Clubhouse clean and in the best condition, the rental deposit has increased to $250. However, if you return the clubhouse after rental in its best condition, the entire deposit will be returned.
Scouting for Food
We have two scout troops that will be “Scouting for Food” in our neighborhood this month, one at the beginning of the month and the other in the middle of the month. Please support both of these troops as they help those in our area that are less fortunate.
Troop 144 will be Scouting for Food -- On Sat. March 3rd, Boy Scouts will be placing plastic bags on the doors in Lee's Crossing. They will collect any non-perishable food items that you place in the bag the following Sat. beginning at 9:00 A.M. These items will be delivered to a local food bank. There will also be an order form for pine straw if you would like to get your Spring supply through the Scouts and help send them to summer camp. Thank you in advance for your donations. We collected nearly 500 items of food in Lee's Crossing last year and the Troop and food bank were greatly appreciative of your generosity. If you have any questions, you may call Diane Edwards at 770-575-0445.
TROOP 252 will be SCOUTING FOR FOOD in Lee’s Crossing! The scouts will leave donation bags at your door on March 17th or 18th. Please consider showing your love to those in need in our community by donating food. Our scouts will be picking up any generous donations you may have on Saturday March 24th and Sunday March 25th. Please just leave your bag on the front porch by 9 AM.
All food items will be donated to MUST Ministries, a local food bank. They are very low on pasta, mac ‘n cheese, flour, baking/muffin mixes and other non-perishables.
If you have any questions, feel free to call Bill Eubanks at 404-932-1995.

Bob and Necia Maynard used Paula Leak to recover all of the cushions on their boat. The cushions were very oddly shaped and had difficult curves and the fabric was thick. It was a beautiful job done on time. They highly recommend her. Paula may be contacted at 770-794-5868
