Lee’s Crossing Cyclones

Swim Team

Sunshine, warm temperatures and swimming are on the way!!  Registration for the 2011 Swim Team will be held at the clubhouse on Monday, April 11th from 4:30 to 7 pm.  New participants from 5 to 18 years of age (as of June 1st) are always welcome.  The cost is just $25 per swimmer for those living in the neighborhood and $75 per swimmer for those outside of Lee’s Crossing.

The team suit will be the same as last year, but if you are in need new suits will be available for purchase at registration.

After school practices will begin May 16th.  Morning practices will begin Tuesday, May 31st.  I expect our meets will be held on Tuesday evenings this year – but cannot confirm this or our complete schedule until I attend the county organizational meeting in mid-March.

Parent support is required!   It is mandatory for parents to work at least one full meet or two half meets.  Many work much more and their efforts are greatly appreciated!!

Registration packets - including more information about practice and meet schedules - will be emailed out to last year’s team once everything is confirmed.  This information will also be available at registration.

If you would like to join us please contact me for a packet or further information.

A big THANK YOU from troop 144 – Thank you to all of the residents who remembered to put out their Scouting for Food bags.  The scouts picked up nearly 500 food items from our neighborhood.  Troop 144 meets at the First Baptist Church near the square on Tuesday nights from 7:30 to 9:00.  If there are any parents/boys interested in scouting, we would love to invite you to visit our troop to check it out.  We have an outing once a month and scouting is an excellent way to learn about outdoor skills, service, and leadership.  If you have any questions, or would like more information, I’d be happy to talk with you.  You may reach me, Diane Edwards, at 770-575-0445.  Thank you again for the generous donations.
