Pet Food Donations Needed

My name is Mark Biebel and I am a resident of Lee’s Crossing. I will be a sophomore next year at Marietta High School. I am in the IB program, and I am working on a community service project. For my project, I am collecting food donations to help pets stay with their families during this economic recession. I have chosen Daffy’s Pet Soup Kitchen to be the recipient of my donations. It is the largest pet food bank in Georgia and the only one that has multiple locations. Daffy’s goal is to not only feed pets, but to help keep pets with their families. My event will take place on Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27 from 9 am-5 pm. If you are able to help, please bring dry dog and/or cat food, treats, and pet supplies to my house at 697 Trailwood Lane. I will have a donation box in front of the garage. I will deliver all these donations to Daffy’s in Austell on Monday, June 28.

Thank you for taking the time to help these animals.

Volleyball Clinic

Are you considering trying out for the volleyball team at school next year?  Would you like to practice your skills this summer before tryouts?  I have been approached to hold some clinics similar to what I did last summer.  We will work on all aspects of the game including:  serves, receive, sets, digs, hits – and even play some games on grass!  Starting at 9am and playing until 11 we will miss the heat of the day and the pool will be opening just as we finish so you can cool off.  I am available from Wednesday June 30th through Friday July 1st and then Monday July 5th thru Friday July 9th.   I will set up clinics depending on your availability.  At a cost of $10/day join me as many days as you like.  Contact me, Chelsea Herr @ chelseaherr06@yahoo.com for more information.

Hello Lees Crossing Residents,

I am on the charity committee for my Keller Williams Realty office on Dallas Highway.  This year our charity is supporting our troops and their families.  We have a Marine unit of about 130 and a MP unit of 30 we are sponsoring.  I am hoping you can help.  Our goal is send a care package of items every month to the units we are supporting.  We have vendors who are helping us with the cost of shipping the items; we just need misc. items to go out every month.  February we collected gum, March was slim Jim/beef jerky and toiletry items and this month we are collecting flip flops (size 7 and above) and Frisbees.  We send out every month so if you have any items that you would be willing to donate, we would be happy to collect.  If you have gum or toiletry items, beef jerky and etc. it’s not too late to donate those items also.  Please consider starting to collect and bring them by my house anytime.  My address is 1336 Idlewyld Dr.  My home number is (770) 590-9366 and cell is (770) 842-2871.  My email address is rick_diana@bellsouth.net.  Also, if there are any Brownie, Girl Scout, Cub Scout or Boy Scout units in our subdivision and you would like a task for them, we are also collecting home made Thank You cards.  We like to ship the Thank You cards along with the care packages.  Call me for details.  Thank you so much for your support.

Home Movies Transferred to DVD

Want to make watching home movies fast and easy? Transfer those unwieldy 8mm and VHS home video tapes to simple, reliable, long-lasting DVDs. It's easy to do – I'll drop by and pick up your home videos at your convenience. It's very affordable – my rates are just $15 per hour of video, versus $25 or more with other video transfer services. And, you can be sure the transfer will be well done – as I use great care and high-quality equipment. My name is Dylan Suhr and I'm a high school junior at The Walker School. Allow me to transfer your 8mm and/or VHS home movies to DVD today. For more information, call Dylan at 770-514-7850 or email dylan.suhr@thewalkerschool.org.
