From the President…
Summer is here and it’s time to take a much deserved break from our normal routines. So enjoy your break and relax.
Congratulations to our graduating high school and college seniors. It makes me feel rather old as several of these graduates were in my 4 year old Sunday School class just a few years back. I wish each a bright and successful future.
Memorial Day weekend brought the opening of our neighborhood pool. A great time was had by all at the opening party on Saturday, with many enjoying the pool, great Famous Dave’s BBQ and fun music with a DJ. I would like to extend s special thanks to Dave and Catherine Hettrich, who coordinated the party, along with help from Sandra Wilson and Janet Duncan. If you would like to help with future social events, please contact Janet Duncan.
The pool is now open for our regular summer hours. Please enjoy the pool and be respectful of the Pool Operating Guidelines presented in the May Newsletter or on our website. Also, new locks have been installed at the tennis courts. If you need the combination, please contact a Board member.
As the days have warmed and many enjoy the opportunity to walk the neighborhood, I have received several comments about trees and shrubs overhanging the sidewalk. If you have a sidewalk on you property, please take a moment and inspect the trimming of any trees or shrubs near the sidewalk. If this trimming is left to the City crews, it may not be to your liking.
Enjoy your summer!
As always, if you have questions or comments, please give me a call.

This summer, we will be reading A Lineage of Grace by Francine Rivers, a collection of five novellas telling the stories of the women listed in the lineage of Jesus: Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and Mary. These are fictionalized accounts based on the Biblical scriptures with a powerful message of grace throughout. We will be meeting on four Tuesdays this summer (June 5th, June 26th, July 10th, and July 24th) at in the Lee’s Crossing clubhouse. Our books have to be ordered from out of the country, so we have to order them by May 5th or so to get them back in time for our first meeting. Childcare is available by reservation. For more information or to register, please contact Karla Jacobs at 770-428-4739 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Newsletter by E-Mail
Quite a few of us have signed up to receive the newsletter via e-mail. If you haven’t done so, please consider a few advantages. Getting the newsletter via e-mail not only saves money for the HOA, but also saves paper. You will also get the e-mail version earlier than the paper version (depending on editor/stringer schedules, maybe several days earlier). Having a mostly e-mail distribution allows a later cut-off date for articles and also allows events the first couple of days of the month to be included in the current newsletter. Please consider signing up for e-mail delivery. Send your request to email@example.com.
For those of you who are already signed up for e-mail distribution – if your e-mail address changes, please make sure to notify us!

From Karl Wagner at 595 Briarmeade - Many of us have garage door springs that are about the same age. A neighbor had one fail recently and mine did soon after. I was lucky to find Expert Garage Door, Inc at (678) 886-0769. Jayson Conway was very prompt and was reasonably priced. He also offered simple "do it yourself" suggestions that can help extend the life of your garage door. Two of the basics were:
1. Every 6 months, lubricate the hinges, roller wheels and stems, and torsion springs or pulleys.
2. Every 6 months, tighten all screws and nuts on the hinges, handles, locks.
Of course he does offer this "tune-up" service if you'd like an expert to do it.
