Lee’s Crossing
Monthly
Newsletter July 2006
From the President…
It appears summer is in full swing – the pool is full of swimmers, the new clubhouse addition is frequently in use, the rains have slacked off and Wednesday evenings are busy with swim meets. I hope everyone is enjoying!
Congratulations to our Lee’s Crossing Cyclones Swim team, who have done quite well this season in spite of moving up a level. Keep up the good work!
In the middle of all this fun activity, we do have some civic
responsibility with upcoming General Primary Elections on Tuesday, July 18th.
Our subdivision votes at
The Board has received several calls about barking dogs. Let me remind all residents that local ordinances define a nuisance as any barking, howling or other disturbance extending for more than 15 minutes. Let’s all be conscientious and control our pets.
Though it may be dry, please be mindful of the watering
restrictions in place for the City of
In closing, Debbie Kelleher has been selected as the new
Clubhouse Manager to replace Minnie Follrath.
Debbie will assume her responsibilities on July 1st and may
be contacted at
As always, I welcome your input and comments.

A Not So Gentle Reminder…
It seems that those of us who walk around the neighborhood have had to dodge to many piles of “dog business” lately. Please be courteous of others and clean up after your pets. (A couple of plastic garbage bags will work – one as a glove and one as a depository.) Remember, the definition of “clean up” is to remove the mess, not conceal it.

Being Neighborly
This section is dedicated to helping each of us in Lee’s Crossing get to know our neighbors a little better. Many of you are independent business people or work for companies that others of us would be interested in supporting – we just need to know about what you do and how to get in touch with you.
If you would like to advertise your business, please send us a BRIEF paragraph giving pertinent information about your company along with contact information. Submissions will be drawn at random for publication each month, based on space. Competitors will not be published in the same month (i.e. 2 lawn services, 2 accountants, etc). Send your information to leescrossing@comcast.net.
This month’s features:
Charles West has been writing
historical western fiction for the Penguin Group for many years and
his novels can be found anywhere books are sold or over the internet. His
website is www.charlesgwest.com.
Portraits by Ronda. I do charcoal portraits taken from favorite
photos. One favorite I do is a mother or father at three or
four different ages. Mom and Dad together is a great idea for an
anniversary. Or three generations in a family. The ideas are endless. Please
check out my website at www.portraitsbyronda.com
to see the kind of product I offer or to request a brochure. My home phone
number is 678-354-4068. Just ask for Ronda.
Notaries Wanted
If you are a Notary and are willing to help out your neighbors, please send your name and phone number to leescrossing@comcast.net. We will publish these in upcoming newsletters as a service to the neighborhood.

The Cyclones had a very successful season this year with two victories and two losses. One of our losses was only by six points! The swimmers and coaches worked very hard this year at practice as we moved into a tougher division and their hard work has obviously paid off. Thanks also to all the parents and volunteers who make this endeavor possible.
Our team party will be held at the pool on Thursday August 3rd from 6pm to 9pm. A note to residents, the pool will close at 5pm and be open to swim team members only for the event.
Deadline for submissions for the August
Newsletter is July 25. Please send
