Lee’s Crossing

Monthly Newsletter                                                                January 2008

From the President:

Happy New Year!   Once again another year has come and gone.  But before 2007 is long forgotten I would like to extend some well-deserved “thank you’s” to some of our dedicated neighbors who have given of their time to make things happen in this neighborhood:

  • Thank you to Molly Pfeiffer and her crew (Katie & Andrew McIntosh, the Valentines, Elizabeth & Larson Eckford, Audrey Coots, Sean Franklin, Caitlin & Chelsea Herr, and the Savic family) for leading our Christmas “Dollar on Your Door” effort this year.  They raised about $750 as a special Christmas gift for the sanitation workers who service our area.

  • Thank you Beth and Joe Garrett for the wonderful LCHA New Year’s Eve Party at the Clubhouse.  Many of our neighbors rang in the New Year with music, Casino games (play money) and great food to keep up the energy for all the dancing.  Mark your calendar for next year.

  • Thank you to the Holzman’s for refreshing the decorations at our entrances during the Christmas season.  It looked wonderful.

  • Thank you to Angelia Trevathan for editing and producing our newsletter each month.   This the main source of our neighborhood communication and her efforts often go unnoticed.

These individuals have given of their time for the benefit of our community with no desire for recognition, but that does not diminish the need to be recognized.  On behalf of the Board, I thank each of you.

Reminder 2008 assessment, traffic calming ballot and Board of Director ballot is due February 1st.  If you have not received your assessment note and ballot by mail, please contact us as soon as possible.

If you see some construction around the clubhouse this month, we will be drilling a well to supply water for our pool in the spring.  Let’s hope we do not have to drill far!

The Board looks forward another great year in Lee’s Crossing, so keep in touch and join us at some neighborhood activities.

I wish the best for you and your family during this New Year.

I Recommend……

Lisa O’Sullivan wants to recommend our neighbor Janet Duncan as a wonderful Chiropractor.  “I was as skeptical as they come about Chiropractors. I had a fender bender a year or so back and my head hit the steering wheel pretty hard, which lead to chronic headaches and neck pain.  I had a cat scan at the hospital and everything seemed okay.  So, they sent me home and told me to take Tylenol.  The headaches continued and were terrible.  In my business, teaching dance to little children, I cannot afford to have a headache.  Janet said to give Chiropractic a try to see if it would help.  I felt I had nothing to lose, so I gave it a shot.  IT WORKED!  My headaches subsided and my neck pain is gone.  Since that time, I have Janet adjust me on a weekly basis and seem to feel much better all around. “

“Janet can adjust you in her home, here in Lee’s Crossing, which is very convenient.  Sometimes, I go to her office in East Cobb for a massage or to use the “spinalator”, which is really cool table to work out muscle kinks and relax you.  Janet is a very knowledgeable person, incredibly sweet and I would highly recommend anyone to give her a call to try out her Chiropractic Skills.”

Walt Dean would like to recommend Stanley Steemer for carpet cleaning.  They also do tile as well as water removal after flooding.

He would also like to recommend Brenda Brooks with S. Brown Interiors for interior decorating.  www.sbrowninteriors.com   cell 404 403 583   fax 770 425 2765

Ron and Debbie Harris of 1131 Chestnut Hill Circle would like to recommend : Shine Window Cleaning Company; Gil Millsaps, owner, 404-402-5569.

email: shinewindowcleaning@gmail.com

“Gil just hand cleaned our windows, and now they sparkle for the holidays!  I had no idea what a difference it could make. We are so pleased with the end results!  He is very careful and moves furniture, etc., and then puts it back in place.  He also repaired our broken storm windows.  They look as good as new!  His prices are very reasonable.  He is courteous and a hard-worker too.

Services offered: hand window cleaning; clean and repair storm windows; cleans light fixtures and chandeliers; gutter cleaning

Shine Window Cleaning gives FREE ESTIMATES.  They are offering a 20% discount in the months of Jan., Feb., and March too.”

“Need your carpet cleaned? I would like to highly recommend Pete's Carpet Cleaning- Carpet and Fabric Care. Pete is an honest, Christian man, who was VERY thorough, was able to get rid of spots that have been here since we have been in this house (9 years). His prices are VERY fair. Showed up exactly on time and worked a long time. They look better than when we moved in. He even cleaned a couple of our rugs on both sides (due to dog smell).

His telephone number is 77-579-3699. Please tell him Tricia Wilson recommended him!”
