Lee’s Crossing

Monthly Newsletter                                                                January 2007

From the President…

Happy New Year!   Once again another year has come and gone.  But before 2006 is long forgotten I would like to extend some well-deserved “thank you’s” to some of our dedicated neighbors who have given their time to make things happen in this neighborhood:

  • Thank you to Molly Pfeiffer and her crew (Katie & Andrew McIntosh, Melanie Valentine, Elizabeth & Larson Eckford, Abby Suhr, Justin Hayes, Sarah Mills, Caitlin & Chelsea Herr, and the Geiger family) for leading our Christmas “Dollar on Your Door” effort this year.  They raised over $750 as a special Christmas gift for the sanitation workers who service our area.

  • Thank you to Janet Duncan and her Social Committee (Beth and Joe Garrett, Jeanne Tutwiler, Debbie Kelleher and Kevin Brown) for the wonderful LCHA New Year’s Eve Party at the Clubhouse.  Over 75 of our neighbors rang in the New Year with music from a DJ, casino games (play money) and great food to keep up the energy for all the dancing.  The new clubhouse provided an excellent venue for this occasion.  Mark your calendar for next year.

  • Thank you to the Holzman’s for decorating our entrances during the Christmas season.  It looked wonderful.

  • Thank you to Angelia Trevathan for editing and producing our newsletter each month and the stringers who distribute them.   They are the main source of our neighborhood communication and often go unnoticed.

These individuals have given of their time for the benefit of our community with no desire for recognition, but that does not diminish the need to be recognized.  On behalf of the Board, I thank each of you.

A few neighbors have recently spotted coyotes in our neighborhood.  I might suggest keeping your pet food indoors as it tends to attract these animals in search of food.

Reminder:   2007 assessment and Board of Director ballot is due February 1st.

The Board looks forward another great year in Lee’s Crossing, so keep in touch and join us at some neighborhood activities.

As always, I welcome your input and comments.  I wish the best for you and your family during this New Year.

Around the Neighborhood

Great Job Lee’s Crossing!

Due to your generous donations towards this year’s “Dollar On Your Door” effort, we were able to raise over $750 for our sanitation workers.  Thanks to volunteers who helped pick up dollars on both Saturday and Sunday – Katie & Andrew McIntosh, Melanie Valentine, Elizabeth & Larson Eckford, Abby Suhr, Justin Hayes, Sarah Mills, Caitlin & Chelsea Herr, and the Geiger family.  Your efforts really paid off.  Great job Lee’s Crossing!

Lee's Crossing Clubhouse - the clubhouse was used quite a bit over the holidays.  Remember to book your parties for 2007.  Just as a reminder, if you do book and your rental is cancelled within two weeks of use the use fee is forfeited.

Super Bowl Party 2007

Join us at the Lee’s Crossing Clubhouse on Sunday, February 4th to view the Super Bowl in High Definition on our Big Screen TV.

Let’s start about 5:30 and enjoy the game with neighbors.
