Lee’s Crossing

Monthly Newsletter                                                               February 2008

From the President:

Burrrr…. It’s been cold.  Where is the global warming when you need it!  It’s hard to believe we are already into February and so much to do.  Just a few reminders:

·    VOTE – Presidential Primary Election for Georgia is Tuesday, February 5th.

·    VOTE- LCHA Board of Directors ballot and Speed Table ballot due along with the 2008 annual assessment by February 1st.

·    FOOTBALL- Football wraps up another season with the Super Bowl this Sunday.  Join us at the Clubhouse to watch the game on the big screen.

Also, good news - we hit water in drilling a well for our pool!  The drilling company achieved the flow of water we needed at about 250 feet.  Over the next few months we will be having the pump and necessary piping installed to supply water to our pool in time for the pool opening in May.

Spring is on the horizon, which means it’s time to think about a little spring cleaning.  The hot summer, little rain and cold weather has taken its toll on our mailboxes.  Give them cheer with a little clean up.  Benefits offered homeowners in Lee’s Crossing include free mailbox posts, street number placards and paint.  In an effort to keep consistency throughout the neighborhood, the cost of these items is covered by your annual assessment.  So in the next few weeks, check out your mailbox and see if it needs a little sprucing up.  If so, here’s how you can get what you need:

Mailbox Posts For a free replacement mailbox post, please contact Bob Schoonover at (770) 422-8774.

Mailbox Street Number PlacardFor a free replacement street number placard for your mailbox, please contact Tom McBrayer at (770) 427-8057.

Mailbox Paint - Brighten up your mailbox post with a fresh coat of paint.  Free paint can be obtained by contacting Noel Follrath at 770-426-0623.

As always, I welcome your input and comments.

Neighborhood Business Spotlight

If you would like to advertise your business, please send us a BRIEF paragraph giving pertinent information about your company along with contact information.  Submissions will printed first come – first serve each month, based on space.  Competitors will not be published in the same month.  Send your information to leescrossing@comcast.net.

I have recently been authorized through a automobile dealer, to buy and sell vehicles at any auto auction in the U.S.  I have created an LLC to accommodate the process. These sales are closed to the public and are only available to Auto Auction Pass Dealers. There is a tremendous savings on these late model vehicles (virtually any make and model). If you, or someone you know has a need, please give Kevin Brown (404-386-7317) a call and I will be happy to go over the process with you.

I Recommend……

Megan Sullivan says,  “If you are looking to buy or sell a home, I highly recommend Michele Harkins of Keller Williams Realty.  Michele is an amazing real estate agent, and possesses qualities that I believe are incredibly important -- honesty, integrity, and passion.  We had such a great experience when Michele helped us find our house in this neighborhood.  In this current market, it can be very difficult to sell your home, but we have many friends who have had

great success with Michele!  Contact her at michele@movinguhome.com or 404-388-3358.”

Dick and Beth Mitchell would like to recommend author Sara Rose, of Marietta, GA. who has written a Christian novel entitled, My Blue Violets.  Set in contemporary times in Marietta, Georgia, this fictional story focuses on two neighboring families and involves a beloved historic home.  This book is available at Barnes & Noble, Borders, Life Way, and Amazon.  It is a sweet inspiring fireside read.

From Barbara and Wray Buchanan:  “We recently had Gil Millsaps of Shine Window Cleaning clean the windows at our home on Trailwood Ln. and also at our condo at Burnt Hickory Crossings.  He did a wonderful job!  His rates were very reasonable.  He cleaned our ceiling fans and repaired our broken screen windows, too.  We were so pleased.  Services he offers are: hand window cleaning, gutter cleaning, screen window repairs, storm window repairs, chandelier and light fixture cleaning.  He gives free estimates and is offering a 20% discount in the months of Feb. and March.  His phone number is 404-402-5569.  Email: shinewindowcleaning@gmail.com.  “

Terry and Dianne Ryan would like to recommend our neighbor, Frank Sullivan (Right Angle Remodeling) for any and all home improvements you might have.  He has assisted us with several projects and does excellent work.  Please call him at 404-229-1151 for your free estimate.

Ed and Linda Sweeney  would like to strongly recommend Tony Kabchef for computer maintenance or repair work.  “Our computer "caught" one of the worst viruses "out there" just a few days before Christmas and thanks to an article placed in this newsletter previously, we were able to find him and have him solve our problem.  He responded promptly and was totally equipped to do whatever it took, AND IT TOOK A LOT to get our computer repaired.  In the process, we did not lose a single file or program.  It took a few hours, but he even came back without charge when a minor problem crept back in after the initial repair.  He was concerned and conscientious.  It is obvious that he is very knowledgeable about computers!  He helped get ours running much more efficiently and cleaned up many unnecessary things that had slipped in.  His charges were more than reasonable.  If you have computer problems or just need a checkup, we'd highly recommend Tony.”
